The Wall Street Journal today published an article of interest, on the topic of the market demand for commodity mineral silica. (The sands being mined in the Ludington Dunes by Sargent Sand Company are directed primarily for this purpose, mostly for use in the Marcellus Shale Formation in and around Pennsylvania.)
