Sand Mining Forum

On Wednesday, May 18, at 7pm, AFFEW hosted a forum on Sand Dune Mining at the City Hall Community Room in Ludington. This event was exceptionally successful, with (in particular) representation from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, and from Sargent Sand Company. By a rough count, about 120 people attended the forum. Congratulations to Julia Chambers and her colleagues at AFFEW for organizing and hosting this event. We will post our presentation at the event shortly. Over the next several days, we will also be offering reactions to what we have learned, on our blog. (Updated 19 May 2016)
